What each platform charged

How the fees are worked out

What each fee is charged on

eBay: 13.6% (most categories) of item + shipping + tax, plus $0.30 on orders of $10 or less or $0.40 above. Promoted listings use the same total. Facebook: 10% of item + shipping + tax, $0.80 minimum. Depop: 3.3% + $0.45 on item + shipping + tax. Mercari: 10% of item + buyer-paid shipping. Poshmark: $2.95 under $15, 20% at $15 and up, on the item price only.

    You keep

you keep = price + shipping charged − fees − postage − packaging − your cost

Poshmark buyers pay shipping to Poshmark, so shipping and postage drop out there. A local cash sale has no fees, shipping or packaging.

    What isn’t included

eBay’s extra fees for Below Standard sellers, international sales and insertion fees past your free listings; seller-paid shipping discounts on Poshmark; instant-payout fees. Rates last checked Oct 3, 2026; sources are on the About page.
